I have many leather-bound books, and my apartment smells of rich mahogany. I'll be graduating JBC this May and am currently looking for what's next for my wife and I. I have a love for teenagers and college students. My wife and I both come from very broken families and have had to deal with things (and have done things) that we hope to help teenagers and young adults get through. Because of our situations, our hearts break for the teens and families in today's society. We feel that we went through those experiences because God has a plan for us to go and relate to those with similar stories.Aside from being passionate about students, I'm also passionate about media and technology. I love to create digital things (videos, print, web, photography, etc) and my wife loves to create physical things. We are very creative people and are always looking for opportunities to express that creativity. This is part of the reason we love "city" life and culture. Ever since I decided to become a minister, I've felt that God was calling me to be in or near a large city and not in your everyday, "run of the mill" church. This past summer, while interning in D.C., only reaffirmed that for my wife and I. We strive in those cultures.We will be moving to New York City this summer and will be living with two of our closest friends in an apartment in the East Village. God has clearly led us to Manhattan and we're crazy excited about how he plans to use us there. Right now, we're in a time of prayer and openness, trying to bring clarity into our future and the plans he has for us.We are currently talking with a few churches and are first and foremost looking for a faith community whose family we can join, worship beside, and just do life together with. We'd love to come alongside a group who shares our passions and heart for the city, with hopes for a future vocational option some point down the line (whether it be youth, college, pastoral, creative, or in some other role).Take a look at my website and feel free to contact me if you'd like any more info.

I helped teach in the High School and College aged classes and preach in the student services on Sunday mornings. I also helped organize the summer retreats and weekly activities, specifically Wednesday nights for the Jr. High students. I was especially involved in everything involving media and tech. You could say that I was also the unstated and unpaid “Media Intern”. I helped produce and edit video for both the adult and student services. I enjoyed building and growing relationships with the LCC staff and youth.

I worked as a summer associate under my mentor and former youth minister and alongside a newly hired associate youth minister. I helped organize and run summer and fall events, Bible studies, and retreats. I was especially involved in the media and design aspect of these. I focused primarily on building relationships with staff and youth. I also gained experience in brainstorming, time management, and administration skills. I worked primarily with Jr. High and High School students.
